This is not going to be your ‘usual’ article with tips to elevate your career path and job search.
Instead, this is an article about Giving Yourself a Break.
Life as of late has been wrought with chaos… challenges… and non-top busy-ness.
Sitting at my desk the other day, I was trying to come up with ideas as to what to write while simultaneously feeling really, really tired.
A moment later, without much thought (it felt like my subconscious was guiding me), I wrote on a Post-it note:
“Give yourself a break”.
Instead of pushing through the exhaustion, I made a pact with myself in that moment to JUST BE.
And so that is what I am writing about today.
❤️ I am giving myself grace.
❤️ I am giving myself permission to pause.
❤️ To not run headfirst into the next thing,
❤️ Or to cross the next item off my ‘to do’ list.
I am allowing my busy mind and body to settle into silence and solitude, and I am doing so with intention and without judgment or criticism.
I share this in the hopes that it gives someone else permission to do the same. We often feel guilty for taking a break, but it really and truly is necessary.
So…
⛈️ If you are feeling rundown,
⛈️ If you have hit a wall,
⛈️ If your mind, body, and soul are tired,
⛈️ If your cup has completely runneth over,
Please be kind to yourself and hold space for being still.
Life…and…your ‘to do’s’ will be there waiting when you’re ready to return to them. ❤️
